Principal's Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have come to the last week of the 2009-2010 school year. The time has come for parents to take a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of school days – endless driving to and from school and school-related activities, homework, making lunches, fundraisers, and much more. It is time for faculty and staff to take a break from endless class preparation and corrections, classroom management, clerical work, and much more. The time has come for students to take a break from class work and the never-ending homework, the early mornings, and school uniforms! I pray that the summer break give all constituents good rest and renewed energy for the new school year.
It is also time to congratulate our graduates and Pre-K class. It was such a joy to be present at their promotion ceremonies last Friday, June 4 th. On Tuesday, June 8 th we will have our kindergarten promotion ceremony. I extend sincere gratitude to Mrs. Romero (8 th grade teacher), Ms Ramos (Pre-K teacher), Mrs. Mociler (K teacher) and all teachers and staff for your patience, love and hard work with your students throughout the year.
I neglected to share the results of our Jog-A-Thon in May. Our profit of approximately $20,000 will help us purchase technology upgrades for the classrooms and computer lab, and purchase equipment and supplies for the library. All of your hard work paid off! THANK YOU!
As I draw this letter to a close, I want to thank you for entrusting your children into our care, and to thank you for your support, wisdom, hard work and commitment to St. Linus School. I look forward to welcoming you back on August 30 th.
Congratulations and welcome to our St. Linus family to baby Esmeralda (Karmyn Yocky grade 2 & Angel Miranda grade PreK). Please pray fro the repose of the soul of Stella Aguilar, grandmother of Art and Desiree Blancomero, and Alexis Ramirez. Also, remember in your prayers the grandfather of Eric Agitan (grade 2), Mr. Napoleon Yabut, who is seriously ill in the Phillipines. Please continue to keep little Andre Nuckles in your prayers.
